While our county and community struggles with the impacts of COVID-19 and Coronavirus in 2020, it might come as a shock that over 100 years ago community members were facing similar struggles and challenges… but this time as a result of the 1918 Flu Pandemic. One Clinton Countian, Lucy Vandervort Cox, took it upon herself to document the events of 1918 in a diary. As a result, her first hand account has been digitized thanks to her great-great-granddaughter, Amy Patterson.
