The Clinton County History Center is very sad to learn of the recent passing of famous wildlife artist, John Ruthven. We extend our sympathies to his family and friends. As an artist, Mr. Ruthven held ties to Clinton County by way of his “Cardinal at Dusk” piece. This commissioned work was drawn for the History Center and featured our historic house museum and a bright red cardinal in the foreground. A limited supply of numbered and signed copies are still available in our gift shop for purchase to remember and honor this legendary artist.
